WIAT and hubby made soup 2.0

I finally get to do a What I Ate Wednesday post...and I'm a day late. Real Wednesday wasn't a great day to photograph all my eats, but today I had a normal work schedule, so I went for it. I'm positive no one cares what I'm eating all day, but since I like these posts so much in other blogs (am I weird, or are they actually interesting?), I had to do my own at least once. To get it out of my system.

Coffee (most important part of my day when I wake up at 4:30 am):

And my breakfast bomb about 5 hours later, packed up and taken to work - quinoa, Greek yogurt, whey protein, hemp seeds, sun butter and frozen berries. An amazing breakfast idea I got from the fitnessista.

The idea is to load up on as many calories as possible - ideal for people with super active jobs who can't always predict when they'll be able to get fuel in.

And lunch, courtesy of work:

Salad with spinach, chick peas, feta, farro, red cabbage, avocado, eggplant, and my fave roasted red pepper dressing (which I made the day before). All of the dressing recipes at work are out of this world amazing.

For dinner....SOUP, made by my hubby! Now I'm totally stuck with the blog name because it's actually becoming a thing.

It's spicy chickpea and butternut squash, with rosemary bread on the side. I love him.

Not pictured: all the snacks I ate throughout the day, which included an organic cheese stick with pretzels, bites of my breakfast bomb and an oatmeal flax muffin. I stuff them in my face in between tasks at work.

Ever since we moved here, my workouts have taken a backseat to everything else that's been going on. I started work immediately after moving in, and it leaves me pretty exhausted by the end of the day. I manage to still eat well because eating healthy food is second nature to me (and I'm lucky to work at a place that gives all employees free healthy, organic lunch every.single.day), but workouts take more time, effort and energy, all of which I seem to be short on lately. I can finally sympathize with people who say they don't have the time to work out and eat healthy. It's tough. The other night I dragged my butt down to the yoga room before bed to unroll my mat (which hasn't seen the sun since the day before our wedding) and stretch my sore muscles. Hubby came with me to foam roll.

It made me realize how much I need yoga back in my life. I'm going to start prioritizing it the way I used to.

On that note, I'm off to change into my yoga jammies (<-- my comfiest yoga clothes - literally, I could sleep in them) and head down to the yoga room with my new yogaglo subscription.

Have a great night!
